Megan Simmons
Yoga Instructor
Megan’s yoga journey began after completing her Degree in Dance in London in 2015 whilst studying Bharatanatyam a classical South Indian dance style. She fell in love with storytelling through movement and the deep connection between breath and body. This led to her discovery of yoga which then allowed Megan to meet and cope with life in a different way. After feeling the effects of the practice physically and energetically and studying yoga philosophy Megan felt called to share this with others. She completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2022 and is currently studying a 50hr Traditional Hatha course. She remains devoted to a consistent, evolving personal practice.
Becoming a mother deepened her understanding of the natural need to move as humans, revealing the healing power of using the body to explore, grow and connect. Today, Megan’s teaching invites others to reconnect deeply with their breath, body, and mind. Megan is aware of the unique needs of each person and honours the individual paths that people are on. With a therapeutic approach her classes focus on personal exploration, deep inner listening and yoga as a way life.
Megan believes the practice on the mat reflects how we move through life and as a neurodivergent individual encourages self-acceptance and compassion - supporting students to meet themselves exactly as they are. Her teaching is grounded in a commitment to creating spaces where each person can return to themselves each day with openness, acceptance, and compassion, embracing the practice as an ongoing journey of self-discovery.
